Mark Metz Memorial
Scholarship Fundraiser
A Car Show and Memorial Fund Raiser
will be held from 4pm to 8pm at The BLVD
in San Marcos, to honor the memory of Mark Ryan Metz,
21, who passed away on July 10, 2005 from injuries sustained while riding
his ATV. Mark was a passionate rider and loved the great outdoors of
Wyoming where he was attending Wyoming Technical
Institute, one of the foremost automotive schools in the country.
Mark also attended Palomar College
while living
in San Marcos and worked at Kragen Auto Parts
in Escondido before leaving this spring for
WyoTech.
All proceeds from the event be used for Scholarships for other students
wishing to attend WyoTech
and who share Mark’s
zest for life, cars, motor sports and the great outdoors.
As part of the fund
raiser there will be door prizes, raffles, silent auctions and other
events. The car show will begin at 4pm and
Charly and Calico
Ridge will play from 6 to 8pm. This promises to be a great event and
is open to all people who love cars, motor sports, country music and just
having fun.

climbs radio airplay charts
Charly's song, ONE FINE
DAY, from her CD Heart's Desire, is charting for the 3rd consecutive month.
Currently at #26 on independent country airplay chart for the month of
October!
Charly's band, Calico Ridge,
nominated for BEST COUNTRY BAND by the San Diego Music Awards for the
3rd consecutive year!
10,000 attend FIRST
NIGHT ESCONDIDO
For the 2nd year in a row,
Charly and her band performed at this family-oriented, alcohol-free New
Year's Eve celebration which feature live music and dance on 14 stages and 2
fireworks displays. Despite rain throughout the week of the event, an
estimated 10,000 people braved the elements to eat, drink, and dance in the
streets.
Calico Ridge
Performs for Wal-Mart Grand Opening
Charly and her band, Calico Ridge, performed for the grand opening
of the largest Wal-Mart in California, located in the Parkway Plaza mall in
El Cajon. Sponsored by Pepsi and Wal-Mart, the
week-long celebration also included local radio stations KYXY FM and KISS
FM, the Charger
girls and more.
"Heart's Desire"
charts on Independent Country top 50
Charly made her debut on a national airplay
chart with her recently released single,
Heart's Desire (the title track
from Charly's CD). The chart is compiled in Nashville from national
airplay statistics of independent releases. Sheryl Crow and Vince Gill are
also on the list, so Charly is in good company!

The
response to Charly's CD has been very positive and her music apparently has
a broad appeal. Charly's music is currently being played on approximately
100 country radio stations throughout the US in
ALABAMA, ARKANSAS, CALIFORNIA, FLORIDA,
GEORGIA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, KANSAS, KENTUCKY, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI,
MISSOURI, MONTANA, NEVADA, NEW MEXICO, NEW YORK, NORTH CAROLINA, NORTH
DAKOTA, OHIO, OKLAHOMA,
OREGON, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS, UTAH, VIRGINIA, WEST VIRGINIA, and

Tower Records and Best Buy
Charly's CD is now
available "on demand" at Tower Records, Best Buy, and thousands of smaller
record stores across the US. If you don't see it on the shelf, just ask for
it.

Internet Radio
Charly's songs are also being
played on

interactive internet radio station. The station broadcasts a
variety of music via live DJs, to listeners in 50 countries. Charly's songs are being played alongside
